This is no more than a nice system for play NES like be in front of a 50'' TV (likely). This is the old trick with glasses that make appear the image is far away from you and in a very big place.

The 3D System has an adapator that conects in the front joystick port of the Famicom. To this adaptor you can conect a joystick (if you have it) and then a cable conects all to the 3D glasses. SEGA respond to this invention with another 3D glasses with similar features for his Master System with the name of '3D glasses'. Simple, no?

Today, there is something like the 3D System for Playstation 2 that create likely the same 3D effect. It was a great advertisement in the '80 years.
