CLUB NINTENDO

Ihave already spoken many times of the impact which had the released of the NES in the world of videogames, a world that it was accustomed to Ataris, Spectrum, Colecovisions, etc... With the NES and the arrivement of a great game like it was Super Mario Bros all become changed and it begans to sell very quickly.

I have made a comment many a time too that Nintedo tried and try today to made the best out of that wich it's created by them for sale later. The creation of a Club destined to all those users who had something of Nintendo, either a NES in first place or a Game Boy later, etc, it was another form to demostrate that Nintendo was diferent to the other ones with its own club and all its consequences. It was a great idea: Only if you was in the club, you would have a right to have the membership card and receiving a magazine of the Club Nintendo to your house where the most reciently things you had within one's grasp were comented, where you could to send your own questions, cheats and the scores of your favourite games, or your own photography in order that they put in one of their pages demostrating that you liked the NES, your hoobies or how many game you had finished. People loves a lot the magazine, with a high design level and some gane well comented with a lot of images and that things. From time a time when they release some special with cheats or they showed the complete maps of those games you like so much. You arrived to the classroom when you was 8 with a magazine of the Club Nintendo under the arm and everybody would want to see it, and then, being amazed they would want to buy a NES.

Well, the Club was another publicity cheat, first for the users had knowledge of new games which podían comprar, segundo para enseñar a los usuarios aquellos trucos o secretos de sus juegos favoritos, no vaya a ser que se desesperasen y dejasen su NES a un lado, y tercero para atraer a la gente de fuera a que se comprase una NES o una Game boy brindándoles la posibilidad de pertenecer a un club exclusivo de Nintendo, la mejor compañía de videojuegos, como ya hizo Mattel con sus He-Man o sus Barbie.

In Europe had only one magazine of the club Nintendo. It was made in the Nintendo UK Main Office and it was sent to other countries in order that was translated to the language of its country, a work corresponding to the stickists. For example, in Spain went to Spaco, which distributed the NES (badly, but at least they distributed) and Erbe which had to distribute the Game Boy and shortly after the Super Nintendo. The magazine was publicated every two months and they sent you by mail to your house, this six number were publicated per year.

This way, to became a member was simply by buying some product of Nintendo, either a console or a videogame, and you had to send the registration card with your personal data to the indicated adress. In the card in question appeared Super Mario who said you: Sign up. It was a cheat to catch the eye of kids. Sending this card gave you a right to obtain the membership card, that seldom was arrived, and you could receive the magazine of the Club Nintendo during a year. If later, you would want to receive more, you had to buy another game and sent the registration card again. So easy.

It begans in 1988. The magazines were organized by tomes, so that every year a tome was released with their respective six numbers. The magazine was publicated until at the beginning of the year 1994 I think, althoug I'm not sure about this, so maybe was desappeared with the released of the Nintendo Acción magazine and the creation of Nintendo España in 1993. In addition, a total change had in 1992 starting from the year, more modern and coloring may for the release of the SNES, when the NES began to fall in the ostracism and we began to disregard it.

From now on I show you all the numbers I have and the registration card of the Club Nintendo. In my respective six years I don't have the tome 4 Number 2, since here I thanks to correos for the good operation. I hope you will enjoy and have to remember.
